We report the conclusion of the 14th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation, Relaxation and Resonance (µSR2017)
The event was organised by the Hokkaido University and was held on 25-30th June, 2017 in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
The conference is an international event held every three years and provides a forum for researchers from around the world with interests in the applications of μSR in a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to) Magnetism, Superconductivity, Hydrogen isotopes in matter, Spintronics, Batteries, Polymers and Biomaterials, Surface Science, Interfaces and Facilities.
The Conference consisted of invited and contributed talks as well as several poster sessions.
The proceedings of the µSR2017 conference will be published as a volume in Journal of Physical Society of Japan: Conference Proceedings (JPS Conf. Proc.)
During the event, the ISMS Executive Committee awarded Prof. Robert Kiefl (University of British Columbia and TRIUMF, Canada) with the 2017 Yamazaki prize for his eminent career within muon and beta NMR science as well as solid state physics. Here the official announcement.
