ISIS pulsed muon source

ISIS Pulsed Muon Facility and the Riken-RAL Muon Facility at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Didcot, Oxfordshire, UK, are world-leading centres for research in the physical and life sciences. The suite of advanced neutron and muon instruments available allows properties of materials to be understood on the atomic scale.

ISIS supports a national and international community of around 3000 scientists for research into subjects ranging from clean energy and the environment, pharmaceuticals and health care, through to nanotechnology, materials engineering and IT, as well as fundamental studies of materials in areas such as magnetism and superconductivity.

  • Location: Didcot, UK
